Can i use a float to swim?

Have you considered the possibility of hiring a private pool? This will allow you to learn the basics of swimming in private before you swim in public! If that's not possible for whatever reason then just go for it! I doubt that they'll kick you out of a pool for using aids to help you swim. Just remember: Very few people are born with the natural ability to swim: We all start somewhere!
