What are the good and bad points to being a zoo keeper?

I am nearly 14 years old, and i know what all you are thinking is why am i worrying about this now but just listen... I want to be a zoo keeper SO bad, it is unbelievable i spend my afternoons and evenings researching animals and researching about being a zoo keeper. I just want to be one so bad and the animal i am aimed at are sea lions as they are my ABSOLUTE favorite animal! The only thing i am worried about is the pay! I have obviously heard from many people that the pay is just horrendous and you cant even buy or rent your own house or flat. Obviously i want a family when i am older and im just so upset that zoo keepers get such poor pay! I love animals just WAY too much! So i have come to the conclusion is it a good idea to be a zoo keeper or not? So i can make a choice of what i want to be. But if you have any other ideas that i could do for a job that involves animals please tell me :) thank you!
